Chris Erotokritou also known as 'kemi', born in Nicosia, Cyprus and currently located in Brighton, UK. He has finished his BSc Degree in Software Engineering and is currently working on his MSc in Intelligent Systems. His passion for music and great interest in computer technology have created a unique fusion of sounds and production techniques that give the unique touch to his music.
kemi aims to develop a unique minimalist style focusing mainly on a thumping bass-line, cranked-up kick and ambient soundscapes all carefully blended and contrasted by massive uplifting drops.
At the moment Chris Erotokritou and Maximilian Julien Vassiades have joined up forces as a duet calling themselves kemi & julien vee. Julien Vee also born in New Jersey US but living most of his life in Nicosia, Cyprus brings an dark, gloomy and repetitive twist in play. Currently Julien Vee is undergoing an Art & Design Director course in Birmingham University. Since their collaboration they have produced a number of tracks, mostly to be feteared on xe:tech:no records. Their first EP releaseDamage Control is a pure demonstration of the dark minimal sounds that will come very soon on Birmingham based label xe:tech:no records.
